Some day I will go out preaching only every other Saturday, weather permitting; and never on a Sunday.
Same for meetings, every other one. Even social gatherings, we Hispanics have too freaking many of those. I would attend one once in a great while.
For now, only dreaming of sweet freedom can I keep calm.

i've noticed that some elders will insist on getting a special bethel speaker for memorials, special talks, or sometimes for no reason at all!
i believe they are trying build connections they can use later, but who pays for it?
the congregation does and as a former account servant i can tell you airfare isn't all that cheap.
Not only does the Cong pay for his expenses, but also some brown-noser will also always make a money collection between a selected few. Has happened every single time one of these stooges visits either our Cong or an assembly hall.

as a jw i would have definitely answered "yes", followed by the typical "he allows suffering, but doesn't cause it", or perhaps the "he has created us to enjoy life and wants us to be happy" mumbo jumbo.
today's daily text demonstrate this reasoning (bold mine):.

i woke up a few months ago, and i haven't told my parents yet.
Acquire as much education as possible. This will help with your finances and independence.
For the moment, use this site for venting while the ideal time to leave comes, years down the road.

i loved going out in service, i would empty my book bag out on the counter at the laundromat, walk out and go get a doughnut, i had a lot of hours and placements on my time card.
i really hated talking to people, the anxiety was too much for me to handle, good thing my service partner felt the same way..
Hanging out for breakfast afterwards with family and good friends is very nice.

it took less than an hour of the meeting a panel of three supreme court judges, to leave unchanged the decision taken earlier by the judge yuri ivanenko, the liquidation and ban any and all registered organizations of the religion.since there is no more effective domestic remedies, the believers will appeal to the european court of human rights and other international organizations.. *note: as reported by the jworg source, jw-russia.org.
Sad. I am for freedom of religion, whatever one may choose.

i have a very xjw type problem, i am invited to my cousin's 70th birthday party, and really don't know what to buy him.. i only met him a couple of months ago, as my jw parents never encouraged the non-jw side of the family, so i don't know much about him, except that he is retired and his hobby is sailing his boat.. i don't have contact details for his kids etc to ask them for ideas, so could you come up with something please ?

i cant believe what i'm hearing... actually, nothing surprises be about this cult anymore.. didn't they say to the judge in the arc that they dont discourage college?.
This is how I know many inside are on to the WTBTS' bull: In the Spanish side, all graduating from high school are moving on to college, even if online. Immigrant parents cannot afford to have kids as worse off as they are.
There are even a few elders that encourage kids to obtain a college education.
Any young lurker, please, as much as possible, get educated. At the very least, a bachelor's degree.
